
The Atambua Beat win the 1st BSF Timor Cup Wheelchair Rugby, the first international wheelchair tournament event ever held in Timor-Leste, beating Dili Lafaek in a an intense final between east and west Timor teams.
With 8 teams competing, the event was a resounding success with around 200 persons between athletes and spectators at the Don Bosco sports centre in Comoro,Dili on Saturday, May 21.
Led by Timor-Leste captain Martinus Dili Lafaek put up a valiant fight , but succumbed to Atambua Beat lead by Ignas.
Coming in 3rd was Dili International School,BSF’s partner in Timor-Leste.
BSF NTT, would like to thank Padre Adriano and Don Bosco, Tim Blackman and Dili International School and Mick Stone and Timor Awakening.
The return tournament will be in Atambua ,West Timor on 20 August.
