The Timor Cup 1 (or 1st BSF Timor Cup Wheelchair Rugby) was the first international wheelchair rugby tournament ever held in Timor-Leste. The tournament was organized by the Bali Sports Foundation (BSF) Asia in collaboration with local partners in Dili. The event was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Timor-Leste and the Regent of Belu, aiming to strengthen friendship between the two countries through sport.
This tournament marked a significant milestone in the development of disability sports in the Timor region.
The tournament took place on May 21, 2022, at the Don Bosco Sports Center in Comoro, Dili, and featured eight teams, including those from Timor-Leste and Indonesia.
The Atambua Beat team from East Nusa Tenggara (Indonesia) emerged victorious after defeating the host team, Dili Lafaek, in a tightly contested final.
